Deborah B. S. Shell, MA, LCMHC

Deborah Shell, MA, LCMHC is a licensed clinical mental health counselor working as an outpatient therapist at Northwestern Counseling and Support Services, Inc., a community mental health center in northern Vermont. She works primarily on attachment issues with families and children, individuals and couples. Her formal training spans three decades, beginning with concentrations in art and culminating in a Masters in Counseling from Johnson State College, VT. She lives in a hand-made house on twenty-five acres with her husband, dogs, and chickens. Over the past thirty years, the most patient, influential and informative teachers have been her children.

Deb's interests include staff trainings on attachment principles and interventions and supervision of license-eligilble graduates. She also teaches in the graduate counseling program at Johnson State College providing coursework in Family Counseling (from an attachment perspective) as well as Lab 1 (focus on experiential component).
