Judith Myerson, LCSW, ACSW



Judith Myerson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years experience in counseling and mental health.  She has worked in inpatient, domestic violence, and rape crisis settings, and is former coordinator of a regional New York State Office of Children and Family Services Post Adoption Grant.  She received her Masters in Social Work from NYU, and has focused post masters on attachment, trauma, adoption and foster care issues.

Judy currently works full time as a psychotherapist in Orange County, New York, 50 miles north of NYC.  Her practice, Hudson Valley Family Attachments, specializes in attachment and adoption.  She has also begun to incorporate Theraplay based principles into her work with children and parents. 

Judy is the mother of 3 children, 2 of whom are adopted from China.  Her 2001 Adoptive Families article, “What We Wish We Had Known”, is based on the 1997 adoption of her now 22 year old daughter at age 9.
