Craig W. Clark, MA, MFT is a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist with private practice offices in Capitola and Santa Clara, California. He earned his masters degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. He became interested in foster and adoptive populations while an intern with Future Families, a licensed foster and adoption agency, where he worked as therapist and case manager serving to support and maintain children and adolescents in therapeutic foster and adoptive homes. In that capacity, he also led parenting groups and taught foster parent licensing classes. In 1999 he helped provide the first series of eight Adoption Clinical Trainings to mental health professionals and social workers in Santa Clara County, California.

In July of 2001 he began training with Daniel Hughes, PhD, the originator of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. This year he completed his sixth year of training with Dr. Hughes.

Mr. Clark is Associate Professor at John F. Kennedy University, Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where he teaches courses in Child and Adolescent Treatment, Advanced Child and Adolescent Treatment, Theories of Therapeutic Practice, Clinical Application of Attachment Theory, Psychopathology, and is a clinical supervisor at the JFKU Community Counseling Center in Sunnyvale, CA. Mr. Clark has presented workshops for Santa Cruz County DFCS; the Annual Conference of ATTACh; and for JFK University’s continuing education department. He coauthored the book: “Creating Capacity for Attachment: Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy in the Treatment of Trauma-Attachment Disorders”, published in July 2005. Mr. Clark has provided consultant services to San Francisco and Monterey Bay area agencies including Kinship Center’s AFTER Program and Center for Healthy Development.

Mr. Clark is a resident of Capitola, California, where he and his wife have lovingly guided two boys into adulthood.
